If you agree with me, your career would be accelerated only if you go for a right job. Instead if you go for wrong job or the one that relates to you nowhere, it can ruin your job career for couple of years.
SAS Analytics

A small exam would thoroughly assist you to know more and make yourself aware. One of my friend (Rajeev) wasn’t lucky enough just like me to be shortlisted through the campus placements that too within the home city. Just for the minor reason, he switched himself into other MNC with the job profile of Analyst. He initiated with his job profile very smoothly but as days passed, he became conscious that the job profile he entered wasn’t the one he crewed upon. He was supposed to handle queries for the business requirement, writing queries, checking of the business maintenance and reporting for the business. There was no word such as “Analysis” that was driving through his tasks and job profile. But due to the pressure of being fresher, he decided to stay for 12 months before switching to next job. But even after 12 months, he failed to enter himself in Analytics field. This was really a fading overview about him. So I am pointing here those 5 points that will help you.

Following questions will not just help you but also make the employer know about you are damn serious about the job role and industry.

      1.       What would be my expected role? Would be Reporting or Analysis?
  •         This question would make you clear regarding your job role based on the interviewer’s response
What will be your expectations from my Job role?
  •          Initially you should be clear regarding your Job description but still if you are not clear, you can sort out your queries
  •          What would be the problems that I would be facing on the regular basis?
  •          Who are the customers for the team?
      2.       Just ask for the project that that was recently worked upon

Some of the major aspects you should understand are:
  •          What were the different tools and techniques used?
  •          What was the requirement? Whether it was complex data modelling, clustering or predictive modelling?
  •          Was the implementation process thoroughly undertaken before testing?
      3.       How the analyst commune (community)?
      4.       Which function does the situation report to?
      5.       If I am hired in someone’s replacement, what was the reason behind leaving the job for the earlier  person?
  • As per my view this would be generally a discussion in an informal lunch/ coffee post interview would be suitable. Also make sure that would the interviewer be quite comfortable in answering the same. If the you are not quite sure regarding the response made by the interview, it’s better pause yourself and try to understand the reason by yourself late.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        These were my 5 major points of discussion with you and hope so you might be cleared with the points and would be concerned regarding the e.g. that I displayed you in the above para.
