Do you know which is the topmost considerable and best tool to learn analytics? : Epoch Research Institute India Pvt. Ltd. (www.epoch.co.in)

Do you know which is the topmost considerable and best tool to learn analytics? : EpochResearch Institute India Pvt Ltd. (SASAuthorised Training : Ahmedabad | Bangalore)

I have come across these questions frequently through various students who are considering their future in the field of analytics. But we are here to guide them for their best in respect to their future keeping all the points in mind.

SAS Analytics
There are various analytical tools available and various training sessions are held along with the trainings that are provided by the expert. But still I would recommend as there is no doubt that SAS being the period of influence for all the analytical professionals, most the companies definitely go for SAS software. There are various companies in India using SAS tool for predictive modelling and advanced data mining. As a result of this, the demand is at the peak for the SAS analytical professionals in the market.

SAS institute provides with various software and tools but among those, Base SAS is the most widely used. I can say that this is the package that is code based tool. It is used for coding purpose. One more point to know that as Base SAS is code-based tool, it’s not easy to learn Base SAS. But still the handy experience on Base SAS and the certified Base SAS candidate would likely be voted more.

One of the SAS tool is E-Miner. With this, you can perform complex data manipulation and modelling tasks. One can also perform market basket analysis, decision trees and neutral networks. All this potential makes E-miner, a very easy to learning tool.

This was my message to all those candidates who are ready to initiate their career in the field of Analytics. Go for SAS training, you will be the most demanding icon in the market when it comes to SAS analytics. You can contact us for the same.

What are qualities and characteristics that a SAS trainer should possess? – Part – II

SAS training institute

As I assured you to discuss and stumble upon few more significant topics regarding the factual qualities and characteristics that a SAS trainer should have, today we will come upon fairly more topics to converse.

Next comes the industry oriented approach

The trainer should let the candidates know about the resume and should instruct them the topics that are included in the resume and the topics that are relatively helpful when it comes to industry/company profile. When you include 2-3 years of experience in your resume, it clearly declares that you possess sound knowledge regarding SAS and SAS skills and you have worked on a range of SAS projects. Once a while it may happen that an interviewer would take an optional point if you fail to answer a technical question as he might understand that you might not have got a chance to work on but he may contradict and deny when it comes to questions that are to be done on daily basis but still you fall short to answer. So ultimately it’s a trainer’s task to make the candidate aware regarding all the basic questions and answer.

I would say that an excellent trainer will educate you and let you know how to sell yourself in market along with SAS knowledge

He will aid you in updating your resume. He will prove to be a point of assistance for you regarding the projects that has been mentioned in the projects and would also facilitate you with all the feasible questions that are likely to be asked.

It is most crucial that the project you have worked upon is from your background experience so that you are able to face the interview and defend yourself in interview

Just imagine when Pharma background student is asked a straightforward question from the finance domain?? We all know that and it’s apparent and obvious that he would fail to answer

Trainer’s quality should be at the expert level in his teaching modes and techniques

Sometimes it becomes impossible for a trainer to provide exposure to all the SAS applications as there are varieties of applications and modules in SAS. So I would suggest you to check the prior experience of the trainer in training from any of the former student.

To forget and accumulate in mind is the prime quandary for every candidate

It usually happens that the candidate would only retain around 30-40% of his course prepared after 4-5 months. This would be a better idea to upload your resume as soon possible. Once half of the modules and courses have been completed, upload your resumes to various job portals. The reason behind this is that you will come to know whether your resume is been shortlisted or rejected. Basically it takes around 3-4 weeks for the interviews to be scheduled after you upload your resume. By the time the interviews are schedules, you might have completed around 70-80 percent of your course. Personally you will have a motivational feeling as you will see the immediate impact of the training. You will grow confident as you have freshly prepared.

I certainly agree that sometimes it takes time to get placed but there are various factors that stuck you in getting placed. It may include background authentication improper, fail to follow the targeted resume accordingly, unable to handle to interview sessions appropriately etc. But if the modes and directions are hand over to a quality SAS trainer, I am sure that things and situations will surely favor you. You can share your views if you have any.

Some of the most accepted analytical tools in Business

Various analytical tools have been broadly used in business and are accessible in market. Don’t groom over the assortment as the range of the simple statistical tools to software varies in definite range. Companies are likely to develop their domestic tools for their various precise purposes.
Step by step, we will go through the analytical tools: Let’s initiate with MS Excel.
SAS (Statistical Analysis software): If I would say that SAS is the most powerful 10000 pounds gorilla in the world of analytics and has completely dominated the analytical word, then I am not wide of the mark. SAS is the largest independent hawker and the sovereign in the analytics world. Inspite of its deadly range pricing in the Indian market, the potential of the tool has widely showered from management to analytics.
MS Excel: One of the most alleged tools that are accessed by Business users is MS Excel. Inspite companies perform various statistical analyses on different software, but ultimately they will land up to Excel for their various specific presentations and reporting purpose. If one intends to be most powerful profile in reporting and excel skills, then he will gain a versatile experience on Excel.
SPSS Modeler: SPSS is data mining software tool. The use of this tool is for the statistical analysis in social science and is used by researchers, survey companies and others. It originally stands for SPSS Clementine.
KXEN: There are few companies that drive programming analytics. It is very easy to use and can also work with hefty amount of data. Its popularity is not to that extent as some of the users unlike the fact that KXEN exerts like a black box and as a result it becomes quite difficult to understand the results as well as explain it.
MATLAB: MathWorks developed a fourth generation programming language and statistical computing software named as MATLAB. The tool boxes are available that enlarge the MATLAB to specific areas of functionalities. There is no free version of MATLAB software.
R: R is programming language for statistical computing and graphics. This is an open source tool and is used extensively by academic world. For the business user’s prospect, the programming language represents a hurdle.
These were some of the analytical tools that are more likely to be accepted in the analytical world. Still there are few more analytical tools that I haven’t described over here as the marginal comparison of the tools that I have described is far beyond preeminent. If you are interested in analytics profile and SAS training i.e. SAS Business analytics, can contact us for the same.

Interview based questions for Clinical SAS – Part II

It seemed to be the flawless discussion and questions in my last post. Thanks to all readers and specially the one commenting and pointing out the mistake. Today, generically, I would continue with the subsequent important questions and answers regarding the SAS clinical trials. As mainstream of the questions I had already discussed and I suppose it would have helped you to scratch your mind and helped you to prepare more. Below are the questions and the relevant answers:

      1.       How to know whether the program is modified or not?
To know whether the program is modified or not, simply check the modification history in the header part of the program.
      2.       Describe something about MEDRA and what version did you used?
MEDRA is termed as Medical dictionary of regulatory activities. Version 10 was used in project.
      3.       How to perform validation in project?
Validations are performed to make sure that the logic of the program is correct and data errors are detected. The validations performed are for e.g. Verify error and when macro is called more than 10 times, warning messages are generated. This means that more than 10 titles should be added. When TITLENUM constraint is invalid, verify error message. When the total length of the text within the input parameters exceeds more than 132 characters, warning message is generated. Verify that no error message is generated when the macro is used within the data step and the input parameters are valid.
      4.       How to do data cleaning? How to change the values in the data?
PROQ FREQ and PROQ UNIVARIATE are used to find inconsistency in the data.
      5.       Define verification?
The principle of verification is to make certain regarding the precision of the tables and the quality of SAS programs.
      6.       What are ISS and ISE?
ISS is termed as integrated summary of safety. ISS is summation of data from individual studies, along with new analysis that goes further what can be done with individual studies.
ISE is termed as integrated summary of efficacy. It is significant component of safety and there are expectations of effective submissions according to the regulations.
       7.       What are the responsibilities of a programmer?
The programmer has to perform programming for report formats that are entailed for regulatory authorities. He has to update the ISS/ISE shells.
       8.       What are the responsibilities of Clinical study team?
The clinical study has to endow with the updates on safety, has to update the shell when it is suitable, as per the required and approved format, the clinical team has to analyze and report data.
       9.       Which SAS features are used for error trapping and data validation?
SAS features that are used for data validation and error trapping are conditional statements, if then else. Put statement Debug option.
So these were some of the listing and hardcore questions that I wanted to include compared to the ones in my previous post. Hope so it might help you in some or the other manner. We are providing authorized training on Clinical SAS. You can contact us for the same.
